Article Title: Installing and Removing a Rotor

Centrifuge rotors are designed to sit evenly and to fit tightly onto the motor shaft. When installing a rotor, be sure that particles of dirt do not adhere to the motor shaft and cause an uneven seating of the rotor. Be sure to grease the motor shaft on a regular basis to allow for easier removal in the future and to prevent the metal of the shaft from binding with the metal of the rotor.
