The product support period is normally 10 years from the last date of production. Hettich typically tries to maintain a stock of support parts that will last through the product support period.

We do this by implementing some previously designed parts into current production models. This strategy can be particularly useful on parts that are less likely to need to develop as technology develops. Also, Hettich manufactures a high percentage of the total centrifuge right in its own factory. We can continue to manufacture many pieces long after their production lives have ended on an “as needed” basis. However, there are some instances when an outside vendor may stop supplying an electronics board or some other specialized, non-Hettich manufactured part after a certain time. In this case, the support period would vary for that particular part, dependent on stock levels at the time of discontinuance by the vendor and usage afterwards.
