Hettich celebrates 115 years in the laboratory

HETTICH, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of laboratory centrifuges, is pleased to celebrate its 115 years of continuous operation.

The success story of HETTICH began in 1904 with medical devices created by Andreas Hettich, a mechanic from Tuttlingen (Germany.) The company developed rapidly and soon began to expanding to other laboratory equipment. In 1908, the first centrifuges were manufactured and successfully marketed – a tradition that continues today. The product portfolio ranges from small, benchtop units to large floor standing centrifuges. In addition, HETTICH also manufactures centrifuges for integration into automated laboratory lines.

With 5 subsidiaries, in USA, the Netherlands, Singapore, France, Switzerland and qualified partners in over 70 countries, the company is active globally. The HettCube incubator series debuted in 2012 to complement the company’s product portfolio. Since their introduction, they have quickly been adopted by some of the world’s leading laboratories. With an improved design, touch screen and many new features, the latest version of HettCube incubators were premiered at the 2018 MEDICA conference in Düsseldorf.

The year 2018 also saw the introduction of the innovative dual centrifuge, the ZentriMix 380R which has uses in many new and emerging scientific applications. The company has been also recognized by the Government of Baden-Württemberg (Germany) as part of the “Landes-Innovationspreis” award for innovation. Additionally, HETTICH was honored for the creation of the ZentriMix 380 R dual centrifuge, as well as for the development of new fields of application in laboratories. With the recent developments and innovation taking place at Hettich, there is a strong focus on the future while still honoring its past.
