If the centrifuge is already programmed to use level 9, this procedure will have no effect.
The amount of time the centrifuge needs to come to a complete stop is dependent on the speed and the combined weight of rotor, buckets, accessories and samples.
Hettich centrifuges use an electronic braking method that does not require brake pads or any physical contact with a spinning rotor. There is no calibration of the braking required.
